This holiday season brought the opportunity for Eventi to collaborate with the Wooden Spoon Catering Company on another wonderful event, this time coordinating a corporate holiday party that was anything but business as usual. The evening began with a cocktail hour in a festive and warmly appointed 19th century Victorian farmhouse. As co-workers mingled and talked, they enjoyed stationary hors d'oeuvres of various cheeses, fresh berries and fruits, crackers, and warm sherry crab dip with pita chips, as well as passed hot hors d'oeuvres including chicken skewers with peanut sauce, coconut shrimp, and chocolate drizzled bacon skewers. The guests - young and old - enjoyed the Christmas carols sung by the fantastic student choir brought in to perform during cocktail hour. After cocktail hour, guests moved into the barn for music, dinner, and other special surprises. During the party, guests were treated to beautiful live instrumental music by a trio ensemble. Dinner began with bowls of clam chowder and baby spinach salads with pears and candies walnuts, followed by buffet offerings of prime rib, chicken piccata, garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. After the children sang Christmas songs to herald Santa’s arrival, the man in red passed out presents and took pictures with the kids while sitting next to the crackling fire. Dessert was a cookie and brownie bar served with pitchers of milk, coffee and tiramisu cups. Guests were given jars of homemade hot cocoa with marshmallows and crushed peppermint as favors to take home. The entire evening had a feeling of warmth and welcome that embodied the spirit of the holidays. From decadent food and sing-along carols to children playing with newly opened toys, the night was less like a corporate holiday party and more like a true celebration of the joy of the season. Filled with delicious food, holiday music, and visit from Santa, the evening marked another memorable and successful collaboration between Eventi and the Wooden Spoon Catering Company.
